Anything good to eatRegina Wyatt
Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan Regina Wyatt has always had a penchant for the Arts. After studying architecture in high school and acquiring a B. S. in Architecture at Lawrence Tech. University, She delved into the world of fine arts at a friend's urging. "I came from a family where the Arts were not considered a vocation, only a hobby, but after 10 years in the field of Architecture and another 15 years trying to figure out what I wanted to be when I grew up, the only thing that I learned was that conformity does not suit me and the only constant in my life is Art."
Self taught, she moved to Redding in 2008 to further pursue her art career. Mainly working in acrylics, her work focuses on the urban contemporary cityscape and figure. Using muted tones and a subtle color palate, her work depicts the urban landscapes of her imagination. Her work has been shown in various galleries in Redding, Berkeley, and Los Angeles, CA, as well as, in Detroit and Southfield, MI.
She is now living in Los Angeles and concentrating on refining her work using acrylics, mixed media and various framing techniques.
