W. C. Lindsay

Music – Philadelphia

In the current popular music climate genre is everything, and W. C. Lindsay simply refuses to subscribe. When asked to describe his style, the Columbus, Ohio native will most likely blurt out something along the lines of electronic indie pop americana garage folk dance grime. W. C. has spent his most recent years traveling and drawing influence from every city he sees as well as every person he meets, and he hopes to use the music he’s created as a tool to propel his insatiable wanderlust. “I want it to be cyclical. I want to have crowds of all different kinds of people singing my lyrics back to me. Then, I want to meet them, hangout with them, see the way they live, and write new music about them for totally different crowds to sing along to,” says W. C. After recently relocating to Philadelphia, W. C. began to generate buzz around his explosive live performances, whether they be energetic electronic performances, wrought with live sampling and crowd participation or intimate acoustic appearances, lush with character and crooning falsetto. Since the hiatus of W. C.’s original group, Columbus pop punk favorites “Pax Romana”, he has focused on amassing support for his most recent EP, “Folklore and Tall Tales.” W. C. is expected to attack spring 2011 with unrivaled ferocity as he releases a highly anticipated new EP and performs all over the east coast. “I want to get people excited about my music. W. C. Lindsay isn’t just my name, it’s an idea that I want to plant in the heads of everyone who listens. Give me a stage and I can convince anyone. Join the movement.
