WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
At the start of 2011, RAW expanded to 21 total locations: Los Angeles, Hollywood, Santa Monica, Pomona, Riverside, Orange County, San Diego, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Denver, Austin, Minneapolis, Nashville, Philadelphia, New York City, Chicago, Boston. We have a great team of Location Directors who head RAW in these cities.
RAW is now looking for well-rounded, experienced event producers to act as local RAW representatives and planners for a 2012 Launch in their city.
Do you have experience with producing events of all sizes? Are you used to working in a fast-paced environment? Are you a positive and energetic person? Do you have an insane amount of love for the arts? Willing to give one event a month all that you got? If so, RAW:natural born artists might be a fit for you.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
A local RAW representative and event producer is responsible for planning, promoting and producing a monthly showcase in their city. Interacting closely with both RAW headquarters as well as their own team of interns, the local artists and arts community in their area, the RAW event planner is responsible for ensuring the seamless booking, planning, and coordinating of each monthly showcase. In addition to this, the ideal candidate will represent RAW in his/her own city, promoting our organization. This includes, though is not limited to:
- Booking RAW venues and artistic talent, monthly (making sure that each month is fully booked by sourcing talent to participate)
- Managing communications between booked talent, venue, and staffing
- Conducting meetings and interviews with potential artists and staffing
- Networking with local arts organizations, collectives, and communities; building relationships w/ potential artistic talents & patrons
- Promoting each monthly showcase as well as RAW as an organization
- Participating in public relations and pursue press coverage per event showcase
- The production of each RAW showcase from set up to tear down, and everything in between
- Being available via email and cell phone to answer questions, coordinate call times and venue relations during pre-event production
- Conferring w/ talent before, during, and after all showcasing—ensuring the artist’s satisfaction as well as maintaining positive report.
- Moderating all lines of communication between RAW headquarters, the artists, videographers, photographers, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 3-5 years experience in event planning/production
- Strong ties with the local arts community is a plus
- Strong networking skills
- Excellent organizational skills and task/detail-oriented
- Can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience dealing with a variety of clients (artists, fashion designers, musicians, etc …)
- Excellent oral and communication skills
- Punctual, responsible, dependable, and dedicated to planning and executing an exceptional showcase event on a monthly basis
- Strong knowledge of and experience with technology and event equipment
- Maintaining an unswervingly professional approach to all situations
Training Begins: End of February in Southern California

RAW PROMOTIONS/PR/MARKETING INTERNSHIP
JOB DESCRIPTION:
RAW Interns work as a team, and with other staff members, to ensure that there is a constant flow of people inquiring about RAW, whether through online media or grassroots promotions projects. RAW Interns will make sure that there is always a RAW presence in the local Arts community, and even beyond. RAW interns are key players in the success and quality of RAW as an organization and will execute this by assisting the directors in various projects, contributing to the ever-growing RAW community, and - on occasion - saturating local arts events, fashion shows, schools, networking events, eco events and hot spots to spread the word.
The goal of a RAW intern is to make sure everyone knows about, has heard about or is familiar with RAW:natural born artists - whether through online/web marketing, editorial work, or grassroots promotion projects and will, therefore, be held responsible for the following:
• RAW Interns will report to RAW Development Director and assist other staff members with various projects.
• RAW Interns will be scheduled to attend events and shows and all mandatory intern meetings.
• RAW Interns will need to be available at least 10 hours a week.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate must be a self-starter who, while fulfilling his/her expected duties, is always looking for new and innovative ways to help grow the organization. He/she must be responsible, timely, and, most importantly, enthusiastic about the position and about his/her own improvement. The ideal candidate must also know how to work as a team member representing our organization.
PAY: This position is an invaluable learning experience for college credit and promises a glowing letter of recommendation if intern takes his/her responsibilities seriously (Note: We are ONLY taking serious students who act professionally and uphold outstanding work ethics).
INTERNSHIP LENGTH: 3-6 Months
CODE OF CONDUCT: As a representative of the RAW organization and brand, RAW interns are expected to be punctual always. Dress code is business casual for meetings and cocktail attire at events. RAW interns should behave in a professional manner during all RAW events.

RAW DESIGN INTERNSHIP
JOB DESCRIPTION:
RAW Interns work as a team, and with other staff members, to complete graphic design projects (eg. flyers, web site changes, invitations, ads) and contribute to the overall look and uniqueness of RAW through aspects of design.
RAW Design interns are held responsible for the following:
• RAW Interns will report to RAW Marketing and Web Director
• RAW Interns will assist other staff members with various creative projects -- brainstorming and contributing with their own creative input and skills.
• RAW Interns will be scheduled to attend all mandatory intern and staff meetings.
• RAW Interns will need to be available at least 10 hours a week.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate must be a self-starter who, while fulfilling his/her expected duties, is always looking for new and innovative ways to help grow the organization. He/she must be responsible, timely, and, most importantly, enthusiastic about the position and about his/her own improvement. The ideal candidate must also know how to work as a team member representing our organization and has the following skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop CS3 and Illustrator
- Knowledge of Dreamweaver is not required, though a plus
- Web and Social Media savvy
