Whitney Hayes is an American contemporary painter. A 5th generation San Franciscan and daughter of an artist, Whitney is greatly inspired by the Fauvist movement, particularly the works of Henri Matisse. Working with bright colors, Whitney utilizes painterly qualities to convey abstract depictions of how she sees the world.
Whitney has studied and sketched landscapes and architecture all over the world, primarily in San Francisco, Santa Fe, and Paris. She is particularly inspired by the movement of dancers, often painting performers in the ballet. Whitney has studied art with Gregory Kondos, graphic design in college, and spent much of her 25-year career in fashion marketing and advertising.
These days, Whitney Hayes finds herself following her passion, \"feverishly painting\" from her colorful home in San Francisco.
