White Fort

We are White Fort, the Trans Siberian Duo. Artyom Yakushenko, electric violin, and Yuriy Matveyev, electric guitar. Born and raised in Soviet Siberia (not kidding), we compose and play a unique hybrid of classical, folk, jazz and hard rock, propelled by a Russian ethnic pulse and rocket fuel. As professional musicians, we got our start in Moscow, playing for vodka shots at the opening of an art gallery. But you can\'t live on vodka shots alone (we\'re almost certain of this by now). We came to share our music with America (and shoot Jack Daniels instead) in October, 2012... and were awarded \"Musician of the Year\" by Portland RAW.
