Performing Art – Nashville

William was born and raised in Nashville, TN where he began dancing at the age of 14. He attended Nashville School of the Arts and graduated in 2006. Post high school he was hand picked by Debbie Allen to attend the Debbie Allen Dance Academy on a full scholarship. There he trained in multiple disciplines including Ballet, Dunham, Jazz, and African. He was promoted to Artist- in- Residence were he assisted Ms. Allen on multiple projects, including working with artists such as Chaka Chan, Queen Latifah, CeCe Winans, Tanisha Arnold, Herby Hancock. Credits include, GLEE’S first national tour as a Vocal Adrenaline dancer. Dancing with Neil Patrick Harris at the Oscars, directed and choreographed by Adam Shankman. In 2010 he was Assistant Choreographer to Alvin Ailey dancer Hector Mercado in Storyville: A Musical. William is a member of the unique and highly reputable UNITY Dance Ensemble, directed by Tessandra Chavez. Several of his assistant credits include FOX’s hit show “So You Think You Can Dance” working with choreographers Tessandra Chavez and Tyce Diorio. in 2013 he worked with Chinese director Jiang Wen’s in Wen's 3D movie Gone With The Bullets, choreographed by Keith Young. William spent 4 years dancing and touring Japan with JPOP megastars Koichi Domoto, SexyZone, and ABCZ, where he worked with choreography duo Travis Payne and Stacy Walker. He first appeared on The Late Late Show with James Corden in 2015, in the Dirty Dancing spoof with Idina Menzel. Later that year he shared the stage with Broadway legend Jennifer Holiday in a production of Sophisticated Ladies. Choreographed by Dominique Kelley and directed by Abe Reybold. William returned to Japan not only as a dancer but as a choreographer as well, creating choreography for JPOP stars ABCZ, SexyZone, and Mr. King hit single “Hi Hi Jet”. In 2017, William worked with Chinese Director Zhang Yimo, in the premiere of his show Apologue 2047. He worked with legendary dancer/choreographer Kevin Stea on CABI’S 2017 annual fashion show. Shortly after that, he worked with Dominique Kelley and Abe Reybold again in ZACH Theatre’s production of Singin’ In The Rain, as Ballet Dancer/ Ensemble. This year William has worked with Harley Davidson as a model, in Spain for The Mobile World Congress, and to China again for a tour of Apologue 2047.
