Angela McQuillan

Angela McQuillan received a B.S. in Biology from the University of Texas at Austin in 2004 and a B.F.A. in Painting and Drawing from Tyler School of Art in 2011. Angela\'s current body of work consists of mixed-media paintings that focus on biomorphic abstraction and the visual language of living organisms. Recently she has become increasingly interested in community outreach and development. Her art practice as a whole is an study of various ways that art and science intersect and inform one another. Her ideas involve experiencing the living world with infinite curiosity and appreciation, while coming up with unique solutions to problems through artistic and scientific investigation. Angela currently works as a scientist at Merck in vaccine manufacturing.
