Accessories – New York - NYC

I’ve always had a special attraction and attachment to jewelry. As a young girl, I constantly explored the treasures in my grandmother’s jewelry box and I deeply cherished all the jewelry given to me. Yet despite my passion, jewelry design did not seem like a possible career, so I pursued a degree in architecture, eventually working in New York, and Madrid. In 2008, a ring design I made for a competition inspired me to finally pursue my dream. I moved back to my hometown and enrolled in metalsmithing courses. Since then, I have been developing ring designs that express the influence of both my native Caribbean land and my background in architecture. Recently, I added 3D printing to my creative method. It has been a delightful addition to my creative process, it emphasizes the integral balance of my designs: tradition and technology, and strength and delicacy.
