Nicole Swanson

Having been in the fashion industry since the age of 12, (selling everyone in my middle school homemade outfits and delivering them in plastic bags) I was always a trendsetter. Graduating with a BA in Fashion Design from the American College, Atlanta & London, I was off to New York working at Calvin Klein 3 days after my last final. When I decided to marry and have children I relocated to Miami. After a slew of fashion projects, freelancing for Nicole Miller & JLO swimwear, opening retail clothing stores, being a buyer and a stylist, I have come full circle to my true passion, DESIGNING. In 2010, I started Camelle Miami (which is named after my two daughters, Camaryn and Elle.) We have a strong presence in the Miami market and are excited to branch out and start selling on the West coast. A few months ago my best friend, Abbe Sorbara, signed on as my business partner. We met 15 years ago at Calvin Klein. We are focused and passionately embarking upon this new venture. The line is strongly influenced by the era of the 1970’s. The pieces have 70’s flair and a vintage vibe. Our signatures are backless pieces and exaggerated butterfly sleeves. Camelle is a fashion forward ready-to wear line that is purely focused on making women look and feel their best! Because if you are not having fun… then what\'s the point?
