FreeBear

FreeBear consists of Danny Meyer (Sax), Stephen Thurston (Keys), Patrick McDevitt (Bass), and Alejandro Castano (Drums); talented young musicians using their knowledge of Jazz to change today’s music scene. Just recently, all members received their acceptance letters to Hogwarts - mainly for their mind control powers - but against all peer pressure, have decided instead to pursue their true passion, music. These musicians have performed throughout the United States alongside notable artists and bands such as Ron Miles, Art Lande, The Motet, Four Tops, The Temptations, and Blues Traveler. Each musician has developed his own original music project, and contributed to notable local ensembles in the Colorado area such as The Thurston Group, Art Lande’s Funko Moderno, THiCK CHiCK Live, 9th and Lincoln Jazz Orchestra, the Legacy Jazz Orchestra, and the Future Jazz Project, amongst others. Music has the power to make people look. If it’s good, people may look for a while. However, if the music is REALLY good - really, truly, deep, down, great music - people will stop... ...and actually listen to what’s being said. This is the power of music.
