Yaminah Legohn, a native Angelinos, is a professional choreographer and performer of Hip Hop, Jazz, West African,Dancehall Reggae, and Modern dance styles. A graduate of San Francisco State University with degrees in Speech Communications and Dance, Legohn has performed with many artists such as Shakira, Tony Toni Tone’, Lil Wayne, and B.o.B. just to name a few. Her master skills have been sought out by today’s top performing festivals, such as the Black Choreography Festival, American College Dance Festival, and The Soul Nation Festival in Indonesia. Legohn studied West African, Samba, Ballet, and Dunham Technique to compliment her unique dance style. She continues her dance education at Alvin Ailey, International Dance Academy (IDA Hollywood),Debbie Reynolds Professional Studios, The Edge Performing Arts Center, San Francisco Dance Center, and Shawl Anderson Dance Studio. She is represented by one of the premier dance agencies in Los Angeles, Go To Talent Agency (GTA). Legohn is mastering her choreography and performing arts projects with the goal of being a successor and philosopher in the arena of choreography and dance. Simply put, she lives to spread her love of dance.
