The Artist Zander

Jacob Alexander Figueroa is a multimedia artist, an avid painter, photographer, & a renowned body painter. Zander’s body painting was featured at NY Fashion Week 2011, Summer Set Music & Camping Festival 2012, to high caliber shows ranging from Benny Benassi & Paul Van Dyk, to Black Kat Shows (Portland/Minneapolis), & MN Gay Pride 2013 & 2014. He is also a contributing member in The Band Famous, adding violin to synthesizers to their EDM sound, & unveiled a new body art installment for their debut performance, body painting at the Love Monster Famous App Release Party on Friday the 13th, this June. He is also a developer, enrolled in Full Sail University & pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mobile Development. You can download his first live app, The Band Famous, free on the iPhone App Store! Published locally & internationally, Zander is a featured artist in “All Over the Walls”, a Blue Bridge Media Group Documentary that premiered at the Minneapolis St Paul International Film Festival in 2011, as well as taking “Best Documentary Feature” at the Highway 61 Film Festival that year, & also featured at the MCAD Underground Film Festival. Zander’s artworks have been featured in NY Arts Magazine and presented alongside Celebrity Designer Emre Erturk and fine artists Gigi Turker, and Gulay Alpay. What got him started in body painting? “A former girlfriend suggested over ten years ago, ‘Your work is so dimensional and colorful, you should try painting on people!’–I took her suggestion to heart.\"
