Visual Art – Washington, D.C.
I grew up in Massachusetts, and have lived abroad for the majority of the past seven years: I graduated high school in Bangladesh, then lived in Italy for three years before moving to Ireland for eight months. Travel has played an integral role in my adult life, and my interest in pursuing art professionally grew from my experiences in these varied cultures. While illustration is my main focus, I am also interested in other fields (I studied Film in Rome and Graphic Design in Florence), and am constantly inspired by all genres of art, from photography and film to music and dance. In my own work, I enjoy using detail to explore a combination of naturalistic imagery and dreamlike elements.
