Electriq Dance

Electriq is one giant surprise. On one end we have skinny white girls grooving to hip hop, while on the other end a semi-professional body builder who dances contemporary and jazz. Electriq performs anything from theatre jazz to contemporary funk, all with a common thread: hip hop. One minute you’ll see a triple pirouette then the next a chest isolation. Our dances are eccentric, quirky, and dramatic, while at the same time always exuding gritty hip hop-like qualities of movement. Like a volt of electricity, Electriq will shock you out of conventional dance expectations just enough to keep you curiously yearning for more. Artistic Director, Aaron Gordon, strives to keep his choreography accessible to non-dancers by stressing theatricality, storyline, and performance quality above all else.
