I got my first guitar when I was thirteen and dabbled in lessons for about a month... it was quickly clear they were not for me. I have been a self-taught singer songwriter ever since. While I also play in a rock band, my heart has always been most loyal to the acoustic guitar-- which has been by my side through thick and thin. I began playing on stage and defining my style during my time as an undergraduate student at Ohio University, frequenting open mic nights at the Front Room and the Smiling Skull Saloon.
