Alexandria Espinoza

Performing Art – Los Angeles

Alexandria Espinoza started writing poetry back in 2014 when her sister, Araceli, asked her to join a local poetry workshop in Whittier, CA, hosted by Eric Morago. Her sister encouraged her to find a creative outlet not knowing how much healing needed to be made. Although shy when you first meeting Alexandria, her poetry seems to come from a different point of view, it's much like life where there is a little bit of everything. Mostly rooted in different aspects of love. After joining other writing workshops, poetry lab along with the uptown Whittier workshop, Alexandria applied and joined CLI, community literature initiative held at USC, and took the writing course for poets which is taught by phenomenal Hiram Sims. Upon completion she has been involved in help raise money for the living writers series which helps raise money to give inter city kids books, she has competed in size it up slam, featured at art wars, performed for shoresh the ground on fire, featured at the blacklight district lounge for a comedy night. Alexandria continues to write and perform through various open mics in the greater Los Angeles area. Her book Adventure of the Unicorn was released May 2018.
