Alex G. Berman

Art for me is everything, my passion. I started painting when I was 3 yrs old , it is my way to escape reality; my peace. I then later did a course in fashion design in Milan, Italy and after that I launched my clothing line; for me clothes are art in movement. I paint and I design, I express myself through these ways. I also practice aerial arts and aerial yoga, a beautiful way to express art through the body. I was born in Mexico, November 16, 1980. After I finished middle school I was very fortunate to begin my journey to study in different parts of the world, that certainly got me exposed to so many things, saw different parts of the world and got to know the different cultures. That played a big part of what I am today and what inspires me. My family and I opened a restaurant where we wanted to show real mexican culture in all its expressions through the food, the music and the art; so that is when I decided to make these pieces focused on the Mayan Culture of Mexico.
