Visual Art – Minneapolis

I am fascinated by artifice and a fantastic fake-ness. I find a true love and passion in pop culture and the sheer creation by man. Where Warhol found a deep love of celebrities I am obsessed with cartoons, characters, stories and ultimately the moments where these things make you feel something. I try to deconstruct ideas into designs of shape and colour while maintaining an emotional presence. I do this by putting up layers of obstructive elements and withheld information. I want my art to activate the viewers imagination and make an exploratory moment searching for ways to satisfy the loose ends. Beyond that I am mainly interested in making work people like to look at.
