Music – Los Angeles

I was born in San Diego, CA , and currently reside in Downtown Los Angeles, CA. I am an ambassador of both sides of the entertainment industry and community. Growing up a biracial child, I felt that my mother and father taught me many lessons on the importance of unity, embracing all ethnicities and culture, equality, compassion, and love. They also exposed me to many different types of music... everything from funk, to jazz, soul, hiphop, r&b, rock, country and so on and so on. Growing up, I spent time living in different places, mostly on the west side of the USA. I spent most of my days in the dance studios and constantly attended live music shows and events. At an early age, I felt that the stage was a safe place of expression and a place where I wanted to spend my life. Anything related to music, dance, stage, or film had me hooked! My dream was to be a versatile performer, encompassing many facets of the industry. I knew I wanted to travel and also wanted so badly to experience the magic of entertainment at it's highest level of professionalism. I wanted to work along side of the greats, the best in the business. Spending years on a plethora of stages, I was able to focus and study.  I have been a professional dancer for many musical legends but all the while have been working on finding my own voice and music. Having the time to really observe such a wide range of artists first hand, from Prince to Lady Gaga and many more, these artists' fearlessness have inspired and motivated me to continue exploring my own unique vibe. I was never a "girly" girl and always found myself wanting to run with the boys. They had a sense of adventure and fun that I always enjoyed being around. While most girls were wearing dresses and having tea parties, I was wearing ripped jeans and climbing trees. I was a bit of a tomboy, and I didn't care, I wanted to be "the cool girl" that the boys wanted to hang around. In this business I want to bring light to that fact that there are different types of feminine. Thankfully, because of dance and music, I have taught and performed all over the world. I believe that I have truly continued to take my career to the next level and hope to inspire others to do the same. Times of struggle and hardships have been no stranger and also no barricade to me. I am a risk taker, a pioneer and an adventurist...love is what I strive to reinforce and spread. I believe my purpose in life is to make people feel and connect to the positive nostalgia and theatrics of the entertainment  industry. I am grateful for the amazingly loving people in my life that have helped me get to where I am today. I must say...It takes a village! "Money doesn't make an artist, the craft does."--A.K.
