Music – Brisbane

Alula Blue, composed of members Sam O’Brien, Alexi Heazle, Jaiden Johnston-Bates and Daniel Woods, is an alternative rock band hailing from the suburbs of Brisbane’s south. The band’s origins can be traced to a series of loose jams in living rooms and sheds in 2016, with nothing but a few practice amps and cheap guitars. However, two years later in 2018, all four members have decided to leave the nest, and showcase their sound to the world. The band’s sound is the manifestation of a multiplicity of artistic influences across all four members, including the likes of Eric Clapton, Bon Iver, The Beatles, and Dave Grohl. At times gentle and smooth, but rough and gritty when need be, the clear, honest, and electrifying atmosphere that Alula Blue create will leave listeners craving more.
