I have always seen my self as artistic or as creative; but never as an artist. My aunt is an artist, my brother is an artist; I admire their ability to conceptualize and interpret the world around them, and to use art to express themselves. Photography is about capturing the world ...or a moment, in that sense it is similar to art. The camera does a lot of the work, especially with technology today; but I have come to appreciate photography as it's own form or art. In that it immortalizes a moment, yes, but also a perspective of the world around us.
