Anecdote Apparel is a Canadian owned, Canadian made company that focuses on empowerment through fashion. Our mission is to give every person the ability to wear clothes that make them feel strong, sexy and comfortable in their own skin. We aim to tell a story with each piece we make, adding narrative to your closet.
Anecdote Apparel was started in Winnipeg in 2015 by Tianna Lombardi. With roots in costume design and film, Tianna is a textile innovator who loves a challenge. Her collections are unique, wearable art pieces. When asked how she'd describe the brand's aesthetic, Tianna replied:
"I love pairing really delicate fabrics like lace, with tough fabrics like leather. I love the feeling of combining natural textiles with man-made ones. I've always felt kind of like a paradox. Where I'm halfway between two points, or at two opposites at the same time. So my fashion creations reflect that. I would Anecdote Apparel is a brand for anyone. I do a lot of custom work and halloween costumes, so the brand's slogan: Wear Your Story is really just on point."
