Music – Los Angeles

Anson Sky’s debut album, released on June 4th, 2013, features dance and R&B-driven pop that one devotee calls “music from the year 3000.” His debut single “Nightfalls,” released in February 2013, is a worldly love anthem that captures his mysterious vibe. Anson began writing and recording his debut album in 2009, collaborating with Mark Grilliot (Diddy, Pitbull, Akon, Kat Graham, Bella Thorne), Mario Marchetti (Demi Lovato, JoJo, Pussycat Dolls, Jennifer Lopez), and David Kater, to create music as an element of his creative vision. Anson’s vision is to free the world with a healthy dose of escapism through auditory and visual stimulation. Building on his background in gymnastics and dance, including a B.F.A. in choreography, Anson molded his own brand of performance art heavily focused on dance and fashion. His choreography incorporates elements of jazz funk, hip-hop, and modern dance. As a designer, he creates a variety of fashion for his performances including elaborate helmets, masks, and costumes from unconventional materials such as metal, plastic, and street debris. A Home Depot regular, he constructs set pieces for his videos entirely from scratch; a tank appears in his video for “Out There” and a futuristic prison cell is featured in the upcoming video for “Nightfalls.” Anson’s unique approach to his art led to his appearance as a contestant on the first episode of CMT’s show, “Your Chance to Dance” in 2010 and his nomination for the 2010 RAW Musician of the Year award.
