Arkavello

Music – Edmonton

Arkavello was born in a cold and dark basement in the outskirts of Alberta, Canada in the summer of 2014. Beginning with members John Hutchinson, Riley Frank and Alex Webster, the band's eclectic sound of dissonant yet beautiful vocal harmonies, strange psychedelic guitars, groovy bass lines, and tribalistic drum patterns have caused many to compare Arkavello to artists such as Radiohead, Muse, Nirvana and Everything Everything. Arkavello released their first record "Songs from the Future" on October 22nd, 2015. With lyrics dealing with thoughts of the apocalypse, the Illuminati and extraterrestrial life, they were once again proving they were looking to make a spiritual impact on all of humanity with their mind altering music In April, 2017, co-vocalist and bass player Alex Webster decided to leave Arkavello to pursue a different career path. Down but not out, Hutchinson and Frank decided to go forth and create their second record. On February 23rd, 2018, Arkavello released "Open Heart" a deep and personal collection of music dealing with the passing of Hutchinson's father, the ending of a long relationship and of course the departure of Webster from the band. Arkavello recently added the fantastic bass player Alex Bosse to the band. The new trio finished of the year of 2018 with a show alongside the legendary Canadian band The Pursuit of Happiness. Arkavello is now in the process of writing and recording their third record.
