Visual Art – Phoenix
Armida Kielty is an oil painter with her Bachelor of Fine Art from Arizona State University. Even while early in her career, she has won a juried exhibition award and has displayed her work publicly numerous times. Currently based in Phoenix, Arizona, this cities famous sunrises and sunsets inspire the bright, vivid colors of her paintings. With each landscape Armida creates, she studies and interprets the purpose of urban desert living.
Portraiture has also influenced her current work since she has studied from the human figure for years. Armida uses the portraits she creates as a means to portray the personality of the person she is painting.
No matter the subject matter, painting fast and with energy in her paintbrush is one of her creative strengths. Armida's creative passion entices her to finish any oil painting in only a few sessions, before it even begins to dry.
