Hello! I\'m Carissa. I\'ve been doodling and drawing ever since childhood. A specific photograph of me as a naked baby painting with watercolors in the kitchen sink comes to mind.
I primarily taught myself to paint through experimentation — with acrylic, spray paint, watercolor and india ink. Most recently I have begun to experiment with digitally combining my original images with text. I feel it is this process of experimentation that keeps me evolving as an artist and as a person. I hope to continually push my boundaries to sharpen my artistic skills as well as further define my individuality.
My artwork tends to include bold colors, flowing lines and intense contrast, infusing it with a vibrant energy. I hope that this this energy inspires you to create, to dream, to make something... To discover who you are and be unafraid to express it.
