Beauty – San Francisco

I was born and raised in the Bay Area and fell in love with makeup artistry when I was really young. As a toddler, I remember getting into my mother's makeup and trying to apply her lipstick the best I could. At about 11 years old, I started purchasing makeup here and there. My fondest memory is when my best friend and I raced to see who could make their boyfriend the prettiest girl. She borrowed my brand new eyeliner and drew all over her "client's" face; but I was upset, because I was taking this seriously, making my client the prettiest boy you have ever seen in turquoise eyeshadow. I didn't come to the realization that this could be my career until I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and had a perspective-altering experience. I thought about what I had wanted to do as a child, a teenager, and a young adult and came to the realization that all my answers were the same; and I needed to follow my heart. Shortly after, I attended Blush School of Makeup in San Francisco, obtaining a well-rounded education that helped me develop my skills as an artist. What's my style of artistry? I love the abstract, avant garde realm; vibrant colors, crazy designs, and with that, going above and beyond, out of my comfort zone, yet simultaneously completely in the zone. I like taking risks and pushing myself to make a vision come to life. More Importantly though, I like to help others feel good in their own skin; enhance their own natural beauty, even if just by a pop of color on the lips. I want others to not only see their own beauty, but also feel it. I had the courage to start this journey and I want to live it out helping others find their courage as well.
