Antonette Velasquez has been studying and practicing graphic design for a little over 8 years. She began painting in late 2015. Since then, Velasquez has unraveled both personally and creatively. Along this journey, she found a new sense of self in her own beauty and has recognized this in other women. Velasquez has continued to explore the journey's other women in today's society. She currently uses animals, flowers and the stories of women to showcase the essence of womanhood. Velasquez is currently creating a body of work that celebrates women, unraveled, unfiltered. Some of Velasquez' creative techniques have been showcased on canvas and through mural art. Velasquez has also created AvelaDesign, LLC where she provides graphic design and printing services to startup and small businesses on a contractual basis.
