Sonoma County based abstract artist Sabrina Marion has been honing her fluid painting skills for the past couple of years. Originally an abstract painter, she was motivated to dive into fluid art after the devastation of fleeing her home during a firestorm. This trauma catapulted her desire to create to an intense level. A bit of suffering can ignite a plethora of creativity. This meditative style of painting acts as a form of therapy and the results are mesmerizing. Inspiration comes to her from turning her brain off and listening only to the ID. She uses a multitude of mediums from acrylic paint and inks, to oils, oil paints and resin. Using her knowledge of science, she mixes different materials into the paints and different paint densities to create reactions mimicked in nature.
