Photography – Minneapolis
My name Alexis Abdur Salaam and by definition my first name means "helper of man;" I am every bit of my name. And I am on a mission to help people in any and every way that I can. I am a wife and a new mother of a baby girl who I am trying to be a better woman for daily, and I have found that both my passion and purpose lies in photography. Photography allows me access to a ton of new people all on different paths going through and stages in life. Weather it be newborns, company executives, postpartum mommies, or other young adults trying to figure out their path in life we all have a story to tell. I just want to be the one that tells it.
"BECOMING PHOTOGRAPHY" is about embracing wherever you are in life and whatever you may be going through. I live to empower spiritual and personal growth as we go through our life's journey, because in life we should never live complacent and should always be moving towards our best selves.
I have been building this business for just about two years and am learning daily. I was once a poet, but the images I have been capturing have began to speak for me and have been showing the world everything i've been wanting to say. My goal is to continue to get better every shoot. I must add though that when I am not doing photography I am full-time mommy who is also a over obsessed pintrest lover that can stay stuck in the DIY section thinking to myself the whole time "I couldve thought of that," all while actually never thinking of that, and the cooking/recipes section for hours.
