Martha Bennett

Visual Art – Dallas - Fort Worth

NEW ARTIST BIO (written by me) 2018 Martha was born and raised in Dallas, Texas and developed a love for drawing in childhood. Although largely self taught, during her tenure at Southwest Texas State University and North Texas State University, as well as local Jr. Colleges and Art Associations, she had gained experience in several different mediums and had become specialized in pencil portraits of friends and family. By adulthood, she expanded her interests and subject matter to include colorful acrylic paintings of famous performers, dancers, fruit and vegetables and ambient, imaginary scenes. Over the next few years, Martha participated in art fairs and local exhibiting venues in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. In addition to painting and drawing, she also began to explore the world of digital photography, Photoshop, and related software programs to organize, edit, and create original digital artwork, which she has since been sharing on social media and various websites. Martha’s philosophy is that creativity is endless and is propelled by her hunger to create. She makes art for herself but also revels in the happiness she provides others with artwork they seek from her. Her work is from the soul and usually exhibits a sense of warmth, sensuality, boldness, playfulness and drama.
