Visual Art – Minneapolis

I'm a full-time college student pursuing a Masters in Psychology and Fine Arts, to do Art Therapy in a rehab setting. My dad was a mural artist, painting murals locally (Saint Paul Saints stadium) and at ballclubs around the country; any artistic abilities I have come from his love of artistic expression. I tend to paint mainly abstract art, I enjoy texture and color and letting the paint do what it wants to on the canvas. I'm usually not very rigid with my painting style. Some of my worst moments in life have come through to make great paintings; I am a rape survivor and my piece, "Holy Trinity" came from that experience. Art is healing for me. I also sculpt and work with assemblage; using what you have on hand to make something of interest.
