Black Party Politics

Music – San Diego

Black Party Politics is the modern band in technicolor. A Los Angeles based rock/pop quartet, the band has harnessed a unique sound, generating a buzz through their cathartic live performances, bordering on the cinematic.

Pulling inspiration from regions of the musical spectrum as far as the flamboyant neon pink of Little Richard and T-Rex, the deep blues of Muddy Waters and Tom Waits, the earthy browns of James Jamerson, and the pearlescent whites of Beethoven, Black Party Politics converges all the hues of its respective influences into a dense unmistakable and inescapable Black.

The band’s momentum has accelerated through 2012, sharing bills with the likes of The Pretty Reckless, We Are Scientists, Guttermouth, and Eek-a-Mouse. The band has garnered notice from the On the Rise Concert Series at the Hard Rock on Hollywood Blvd, as well as the Indie By Design series in San Diego, CA, and performs regularly at Club Moscow in Hollywood, as well as the Boogie Den in Los Angeles.

The band’s debut EP release, engineered and mixed by Tim Moore at Mas Music Productions, gathered acclaim of radio and press outlets across the US.

Their 2011 performance at the San Diego Indiefest gained the attention of Michael James with Indie Pro Mix (New Radicals, Hole, L7, Rev. Horton Heat, Jawbreaker, Jane\'s Addiction, Robben Ford, A.J. Croce, Artificial Joy Club, Maia Sharp, Chicago) who mixed their follow up single, “Whole Wide World”, due out in early 2013.
