Blair Bouskill

Photography – Toronto

Blair is a 27 year old artist based in Toronto. At a young age Blair was inspired and influenced by an older relative Oscar Vindedzis, who showed him the art and process of creating beautiful landscapes in the basement of a duplex in Montreal. He was taught landscape painting methods with crushed up chalk pastel and a brush. Oscar's teachings were the foundation for Blairs unique perspective of landscape photography. When Blair was 8 he started taking art lessons with a nearby neighbour instructor and mentor Patricia Kirby. She provided the foundation to draw and paint and he continued her studies until the end of high school. Acrylics were his strength which eventually lead him into the world of theatre through scenic painting. Blair graduated with a diploma at Humber College for their Theatre production program in 2012. Since then he has experimented with a broad array of mediums and multi-media including: projection art, videography, painting, digital design, and his current primary passion photography. The origins of Blair’s artistic path stemmed from his curiosity of his surroundings. He began taking photo’s as a way to have an original reference for the rest of his work. The camera is his tool providing endless posibilities for personal, and professional growth.
