Photography – Denver
I love people and places. Shooting by myself or with others. I enjoy photographing nature, urban settings, and human beings with a fresh perspective and getting to share my work with others. I've lived in Denver for 13 years and still feel giddy when it snows. I moved here to have a blend of both urban life and the outdoors. I still feel a sense of awe and wonder at the grandeur of a mountain range while also enjoying the city and capturing new perspectives through the lens as I wander the streets and alleyways. I first began shooting when I was living in Chicago about 16 years ago. I had a Canon Rebel film camera then. Friends and I would go out into the city and take pictures of just about anything. At first, it was more about spending time together than anything else. But then I began to use photography as a creative outlet to get outside, examine the bigger picture of life, and zoom in on the details. What it taught me was that it is often the details that make up some of the most grand moments in life and haven’t stopped shooting since.
