Carrie Meyer / Moonflower Curiosities

Carrie, the artist, creator and curator behind Moonflower Curiosities, is a self taught artist residing in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She pulls inspiration from her background in historical and literary research, specifically medieval and reformation history, Southern gothic literature and aesthetic as well as her interests in witchcraft, the occult, Victorian macabre and nature. Her art presents in many forms including giclee quality prints of her pen/ink illustrations, refurbished and upcycled materials, jewelry, and materials. Pay special attention to her use of stippling to create texture, shadow and depth as well as her focus on hand lettering, detail and dark humor.
