I love creating art and have been drawing and painting well over 40 years. One day when I was five, while sprawled on the floor drawing, my grandma asked to see what I had created, so I handed her my illustration. She looked at it silently for a few seconds, then she looked straight into my bright little eyes and solemnly said, with a hint of wonder, \"You\'re an artist.\" I now realize that grandma\'s appreciation for five year old me, as a person, has been one of the best (and long-lasting) gifts she ever gave me. As an artist, I treasure the love and appreciation I receive from others when someone compliments my art:) The greatest thrill is yet to come because I feel like I\'ve only just begun!
