Cassandra Atter

I am a Toronto based artist with a strong passion for abstract painting. My work is very process based, it contains two aspects of painting that I love, the fluid free flowing paint that makes spontaneous and frequent changes along with more controlled and deliberate mark making. I juxtapose stains with thickly applied cold wax and modelling paste by layering them on top of each other. I have been fascinated by paint and its various qualities, eager to showcase its diverse forms and enjoying every step of the way.
