Photography – Sydney
Born and lives in Sydney, Australia. Catherine Leung completed her Higher School Certificate (HSC) in 1992, majoring in Visual Art. Her HSC artwork combining photography and digital imaging was selected for inclusion in ARTEXPRESS, an annual series of exhibitions of exemplary HSC artworks. Her artwork went on to be exhibited in Sydney, San Francisco & Japan before being aquisitioned into the William Wilkins Art Collection. In 1998 Catherine graduated from the University of Western Sydney (UWS), completing a Bachelor of Visual Communications - majoring in Photography & Digital Imaging. In 2001 she was selected as a Finalist in the Olive Cotton Award for Photographic Portraiture, and has since gone on to exhibit. Through a combination of portrait photography and digital imaging Catherine’s works invites the viewer to connect. With visual-storytelling that evokes an encounter with the heart and soul, her work explores the most profound mystery of them all – is there more to life?
