Visual Art – New York - Brooklyn

Cat Tassini is an interdisciplinary artist based in Brooklyn, NY. Currently, the focus of her artistic practice is singing, writing songs, playing synthesizer and creating visuals for Brooklyn/Austin-based band Wildcat Apollo. In 2010, she graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Theater and a minor in Art History. At NYU, Cat focused on creating original movement-based theater while studying acting, directing, filmmaking, and design for stage and film. Her work has been staged and screened at DUOC in Santiago de Chile, Williamsburg Fashion Weekend, Secret Project Robot Art Experiment, the 14th Street Y and Bushwick Film Festival. Her visual art has been shown at Secret Project Robot and the Loom. Whimsical and at times dark, her work explores the potential for transcendence in everyday experiences, nature, and the imagination.
