Accessories – Newcastle
I make wild, vivid, whimsical headwear, accesories and art garments, like my trademark \"scarts\" (hat/scarf/bag combos), \"scoods\" (hood/scarf/capelet combos) and \"wingwraps\"- multifunctional Art garments.
I also paint and draw- from miniatures to murals. I enjoy doing different and new things all the time!
My work has been shown in Australia and internationally, including at the Crocheters\' Guild of America\'s runway show, various solo and group exhibitions, Sydney Royal Easter show and other competitions with success.
What I really enjoy is taking on a design challenge, be that for putting a vampire bat or boggly-eyed fish on someone\'s head or painting a caravan with caricatures of its owner...
My work has a guerilla-art aspect in that it provokes questions from people around the wearers. \"WHERE did you get that hat!?\" is my catch-phrase.
COLOUR, FUN and functionality is what my work is all about! I aim to put smiles on the faces of the wearers of my work and passersby.
