Christy Hansen

I was born and raised in Boise, Idaho and lived in Washington, Colorado, Wyoming before returning to Boise in 2006. I\'ve worked as a certified optician for 20 years, but I needed a creative outlet, so I began making jewelry in 2006. For as long as I can remember I\'ve collected agates, quartz, and gemstones and eventually started to incorporate them into my jewelry. I started by making pieces for myself and then my family and friends and -to my surprise- they loved it. After an illness left me unable to work for a time, I was devoting my time to crafting my jewelry and it was so therapeutic and fulfilling I realized my wish was to do it full-time. With the encouragement of my family and friends, I became motivated to try and make that wish a reality, which led me to RAW. My hobby has become a passion and I am so thrilled to be able to share it with as many people as possible.
