Visual Art – San Diego

My name is Arturo, I was born and raised in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico. I moved to San Diego when I was about 12 years-old. When moving here, I became completely indulged in music (punk, punk rock, metal, hardcore, etc.). As a result of being surrounded by that music scene, I would see heavily tattooed people, which I found to be completely captivating and fiercely fascinating. In addition, with time came many different interests into my life, such as video games, vast amounts of enriched cultures, my influences from studying fine art in college with emphasis on human anatomy and Italian renaissance art in college, many other art styles, and love for animals and nature, so I let myself and my art submerge itself in my inspirations. I have struggled with depression and anxiety for some time now and I found that doing artwork and playing music and singing (not very well, mind you) have been an immense remedy to the uphill battle to find a balance in my mental health. Music, now, inspires ALL of my work!
