Chusay

I'm a seventeen year old self-taught artist, based in Calgary, Alberta. Art-making has always been an escape for me, whether it be from schoolwork, family, or even just to kick-back and relax. I have recently found a new love for creating art based around food and the emotions we associate with it. I've been learning and practicing realistic techniques so that I can make my art look "good enough to eat". Food is one of those aspects in life that we often use as an outlet for our feelings. A common example of this is the association between heartbreak and binge-eating ice-cream. We indulge ourselves in comfort foods, and sometimes we take that for granted. Despite this odd passion for food, I am also open to other ideas and techniques, as I am still a student and will forever keep learning.
