Cole Strem

Artist Cole Strem brings his distinctive style to all of his art. Fascinated by tattoos since age 8, he started telling people that he was going to be a tattoo artist when he was 15 years old. Cole was born and raised in Milwaukee, WI. At an early age he started showing an interest in art and drawing. Due to his supportive and creative parents, Cole was enrolled in many various art classes including cartooning, drawing, screen printing and painting. He studied graphic art at the Institute of Art and Design in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Cole started his tattooing career as an apprentice in North Hollywood, California at Madison Tattoo. He had determination to study and strive to become the very best he could be and continues to do so. His works are inspired by life, death, music, animals, anatomy and working along side other artists. He has been studying american traditional tattoo art as well as the techniques of the modern trade. As a painter, he prefers to work with watercolors and ink but also enjoys mixed media. Cole now lives in Long Beach, CA with his wife and two cats. He enjoys walks on the beach and collecting antique oddities. He currently tattoos out of Ace of Hearts Tattoo in San Pedro, CA.
