Common Anomaly

While its moniker might present an oxymoron, Common Anomaly’s tunes are more straightforward: Its upbeat, propulsive rock is suffused with electronic rhythms in the name of jammed-out pop. The boys are new arrivals to Denver although they have been playing in the city for years, dreaming of moving here. They moved from Fort Collins last summer with high hopes of taking over the city in rock \'n\' roll fury. They are four long-time friends who share a love of making music that presents itself as a cyborg: songs rooted in the organic qualities of voice and string but their blood beating through electronica veins. The end result is progressive and dancey, post-rock.
