Visual Art – Boston

Many people have associated the shapes in my artwork with various actual forms including muscles. The truth is, these drawn forms come from my imagination and are informed by my emotions. Creating forms from my imagination has always been one of my favorite activities. I am intrigued by what my mind creates when I stop trying to control it. When I start a drawing or painting I do not plan it out ahead of time. Instead I let my creativity and emotions flow onto the paper. The works of art I create depict very simple forms that I complicate, by layering opaque forms over transparent forms while relating them to the space they inhabit in the picture plane. I do not associate the forms to anything in order for my work to maintain a certain amount of mystery and keep people and myself questioning.
