Dance is Love

Dance is Love is a multi-faceted dance organization whose vision is to educate, create, and inspire. Sponsored by dance2b and directed and choreographed by Denver dance artist Pi DuVal, the project is founded on the belief that dance has the power to change lives. While spreading love and acceptance, Dance is Love will raise awareness (and ultimately money) for specific charities/foundations through unique dance performances, beautiful short dance films and public events. Dance is Love brings the community together while supporting local artists and businesses. ---- Pi's larger than life stage presence paired with her immense drive to help those in need has created an exciting movement to change the world through the love of dance. Dance is Love is committed to advancing Colorado's young, lively and driven voice in the arts. Ultimately, each production is infused with positive energy and inspiring messages growing Denver's vibrant arts community. Dance is Love accepts everyone for who there are and NEVER discriminates on the basis of race, ancestry, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, or any other basis protected by federal, state or local laws. --- Dance is Love will be presented at the RAW Artists showcase at City Hall on February 9th, 2017. We are not only showcasing raw talent, but also embarking on a new form of performance art that will generate buzz both locally and nationally. As a fan of Dance is Love, you will be contributing to our culture as well as fueling our revolution of love. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ About the Founder: Pi, born and raised in Crested Butte, Colorado, is following in her mother's footsteps as a professional dancer/choreographer/performer/director. At age 13, Pi went on her first professional tour as a performer/choreographer throughout Italy and the United States. After attending ASU and CU for dance, Pi became a company member of Team EZ, secured a residency at Beta Nightclub, and toured the country as a professional Go-go dancer, working for the biggest names in the EDM scene. Now, Pi teaches weekly classes at dance2b, an adult studio found in downtown Denver. www.dance2b.com She is a full-time company member of Connect4 Events and Entertainment, where she performs all over Colorado and the U.S. Pi recently launched, Dance Is Love, a movement to change lives and ultimately the world through DANCE. With her unique ability to create beautiful performances and artistically shot videos containing messages of love, she aims to raise money for specific foundations/charities as well as run food and clothing drives etc.. Dance Is Love will educate, create, and inspire the rest of the world to be proactive in giving back to those in need.
