David Titterington

Visual Art – Kansas City

In 2005 I was granted a two-week long meditation study with the Dalai Lama at his monastery in Dharamsala, India, and then, through the generosity of the JET Program, I lived for five years in Japan teaching art, studying Buddhism, and painting landscapes on the pilgrimage island, Shikoku. I received an MFA in painting from The University of Kansas in 2013, and I show my artwork across America and Japan, as well as in magazine publications such as New American Paintings and online publications such as IntegralLife.com. I’m honored to be on CD covers for Michael Garfield, The North Fork, and David Ibbett, and to be awarded residencies at Ucross Foundation, Joshua Tree National Park, and Brush Creek Ranch. I recently received second place at the all-media Kansas City River Market Regional Exhibition, Juried by Antonia Bostrom, the curatorial director at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. I am also a part of the Artist File Initiative at the Library of the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art.
