Passionate about stories of women, especially women of color, I create portraits of the female face and form that wrestle with dissonance and celebrate resilience. Every portrait tells a different story; my artistic responsibility is to bring every nuance into life. While I use a variety of mediums, I'm most attached to painting with ink and the unpredictable line between control and chaos that it creates.
